This  scenic home is located in the quaint, historic town of Bennington, Vermont.   Sit in the hot tub and enjoy the soothing sounds of South Stream, which runs right through the middle of the property where it joins the fresh mountain water from Roaring Branch on the corner of the property -  thus the name "Two Brooks".  This water flows into the Walloomsac River and eventually out to the Hudson and down to New York City and the Atlantic Ocean! This house is the last house on the road and very private and quiet, yet lies only five minutes from shopping, restaurants, cafes, bookstores, and all the conveniences of Bennington.  The property backs up to thousands of acres of the Green Mountain National Forest, and the Appalachian and Long trails are just up the mountain.  Year round activities await you from this peaceful base of operations.  During the winters, enjoy snow mobiling (with a covered parking area for your machines on site). Excellent cross country skiing at Prospect Mountain is but 9 miles away, and supreme downhill skiing at Mt. Snow is only 28 miles away.  During the summer, enjoy wildlife, hiking and biking, and during the fall enjoy the amazing color displays as the leaves change, and during the spring, enjoy nearby rafting and kayaking. Great location just minutes away from both New York and Massachusetts.  Enjoy full satellite TV entertainment, blazing hi-speed HughesNet Internet service, and telephone during your stay while relaxing on a large leather sectional with recliners.   Come visit!

MUD SEASON NOTICE:  The last mile to the house is a gravel road, serviced and plowed by the CIty of Bennington, but during mud season when snow is thawing, it can alternate between frozen and rutted, and muddy.  The City grades the road multiple times per year, and it's usually in great shape, but it has to dry out before they can grade it.

The property now also has HughesNet high speed internet, for those looking for a working vacation, or who need to have Zoom meetings from the road!  Great for streaming, too!

Some GPS units won't pinpoint exact location - working to correct this.  From Coleville Rd and Sawmill, continue on Sawmill for approximately one mile until you see the red house on the left, the last house with services on the road.  The road is not paved, but is well-maintained and plowed by the City of Bennington.  Road may be rutted/muddy in Spring until it gets graded.  Do not try to reach the house from Sawmill Rd from the south.  You must access Sawmill Rd from Colleville Rd.
